The Artist






Ms. Marable studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) and the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA where she earned a BFA in painting and printmaking. Ms. Marable pursued graduate studies at the George Washington University, Washington, D.C. where she earned a MAT-ME with an emphasis on Museum Education. She currently is a part-time faculty at the Corcoran College of Art/George Washington University in the art education department. As part-time faculty, Ms. Marable teach k-12 art teachers, earning master degrees, how to incorporate museum teaching techniques into their classroom art instructions. Ms. Marable has a long career working in museums developing art related education programs for children and adults. She has worked at the Philadelphia Art Museum, Philadelphia, PA; Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; and Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Ms. Marable has also worked at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center and currently at the National Archives, both in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Marable has appeared in numerous group shows, most recently at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts Alumni Show and Black Artist of DC exhibition Kaleidoscope presented at the Publick Playhouse, Cheverly, MD.

After taking an "art creating hiatus" to raise two beautiful children, Ms. Marable is back to work creating and sharing her work.
